Bearclaw found in the Gobi

Darren Berrecloth, Gobi Desert, China

I recently came across this great shot of Darren “Bearclaw” Berrecloth tearing down a lovely set of dusty trails. It looked so perfect that at first I thought it might be one of those man made tracks but on closer inspection I found it was actually the Gobi Desert!

The Gobi forms part of our route from China to Russia and is likely going to be one of the toughest parts of this expedition. That said, we won’t be doing any mountain biking there, we’ll be too busy trying to find food, water and shelter since the Gobi, to quote Sir David Attenborough, “is one of the harshest deserts on earth”.
